Kōrero: Cabinet government

The Cabinet office manual

The Cabinet office manual (later the Cabinet manual) was first published in 1979. It describes cabinet procedures and is regarded as the authoritative guide to decision-making for ministers and their staff, and for government departments. As the foreword to the 1979 edition suggests, such a guide had first been suggested by National Prime Minister Sidney Holland nearly 30 years earlier.
