Punishment register, Kawakawa School, 1933

Punishment registers recorded when and why children received corporal punishment. Some of the causes cited in Kawakawa School's punishment register for February to April 1933 include damage to school property, hitting girls, biting small children and neglecting schoolwork. All seven incidents recorded were committed by boys – four by the same boy.
