Dance at the Taita Youth Club, 1958

Rock 'n' roll emerged in New Zealand in the mid-1950s and was immediately taken up by teenagers hungry for new sounds not sanctioned by their parents and radio programmers. These teenagers are dancing at the Taita Youth Centre in 1958.
