This short clip from a Māori Television documentary looks at the contribution of the publisher A. H. & A. W. Reed to the dissemination of Māori content. Margaret Mutu, Gavin McLean and Hirini Miko Mead talk about why Reeds' books had such an important impact in the second half of the 20th century in communicating knowledge about Māori history and traditions to both Māori and Pākehā.
