This film clip shows some Sunday afternoon activities organised at the Hutt Valley Youth Club, in 1958. In the 1950s there was a moral panic over delinquent teenagers, inflamed by the Mazengarb Report on Hutt Valley 'bodgies' and 'widgies.' Concerns about youth behaviour led to more efforts to provide teenagers with weekend activities.
