Kōrero: Interdenominational Christianity

Billy Graham in New Zealand, 1970

Video file

On his first visit to New Zealand, in 1959, US evangelist the Reverend Billy Graham thrilled huge local congregations with his sensational preaching style. His return visit, in 1970, was less successful, perhaps because his message was no longer novel. Watch this television news clip of Graham preaching in New Zealand in 1970.

In 1970, during Billy Grahams N.Z tour, Billy spoke in a tiny little town called Totara North. I was saved to Jesus during Billy's crusade that evening and soon after, I was baptised in a lake in the middle of winter in a small town not far from Totara North. I am seeking an itinery of Billy's tour so I can pin point the day I gave my heart to to our Lord Jesus through Billy.I have pondered over this date for 45 years. Lorraine .
