The New Zealand Bible Training Institute, shown here at its original site on Auckland's Queen Street, was founded in 1922 and trained hundreds of young men and women as overseas missionaries. In 1961 it moved to a new site in Henderson, West Auckland. In 2008 it was renamed Laidlaw College in honour of Robert Laidlaw, the founder of the Farmers' Trading Company, who chaired the board of the Bible Training Institute for 20 years.

Hi, I've just come across this post and wondered if you ever made contact with Lyn McNickle? Regards.

I am trying to connect with a Lynn McNickle (nee Harris) who attended BTI after completion of Nursing training in Wellington. She married Ian McNickle (also a BTI student) and they were missionaries with O.M.F. If you have any info on her I would be thrilled. We were very close friends during nursing school and I have lost contact with her. I married an American and moved to the U.S.A. in 1965. I appreciate any help you might be able to give me. Rae E.
