Childhood memories

In this extract from the film Early days yet, Allen Curnow reads a poem about his memories of his father giving a sermon in St David’s, in Belfast, Canterbury. The documentary, directed by Shirley Horrocks, was made in the last months of Curnow’s life. The poet talks about his life and work, and visits the settings of some of his most important poems.
