Preventing HIV/AIDS

Publicising the need to prevent HIV/AIDS continued to be essential in the 2000s, when the number of people infected grew. As this 2004 Te Karere news item explains, many people believed that the availability of effective treatment for HIV/AIDS reduced the need to prevent infection in the first place.
