Millennial stamp (3 o 3)

Millennial stamp

In 1997 the first of a series of stamp issues to mark the new millennium featured the discoverers of New Zealand. This stamp featured one of the better portraits of the great navigator, with his chart of New Zealand and a navigation instrument. The instrument was once thought, wrongly, to have been a sextant Cook had with him on one of his voyages to the country.
