Equipment

Equipment

This is a typical assortment of the gear one person would need for a long tramp. Most important are the clothes, mainly made of light, warm synthetic fabrics such as polypropylene and polar fleece. There is also a tent, sleeping bag, cooking gear, map and first-aid kit. Many people take a mountain radio or emergency locator beacon when heading into remote areas. Not shown is the food, which adds many kilograms to the load.
