He tino taonga te matā tūhua ki te Māori i te mea ka taea e te matā nei te tapahi me te waru. He matā te ingoa Māori mo tēnei momo kōhatu. Ko ngā matā mai te motu o Tūhua, he matā tūhua ērā.
