
New Zealand’s international yachting success helped to generate expertise in the design and building of yachts. Manson Marine, started by Kerry Mair, produced stainless steel components for yachts. In 1997 Kerry’s son Steve Mair (pictured) took over the business and the firm concentrated on making high-performance steel anchors for large yachts and other vessels around the world.
