Ka tohu te maramataka ko hea ngā pō pai ki te mahi tuna. He pai ētahi pō mō ngā momo mahi tuna katoa, ā, ko ētahi pō he pai mō ētahi mahi ake, pērā i te tao-tahi (spearing), te tuku hīnaki rānei. He ohu tuna tēnei kei Wairewa (Lake Forsyth) i Te Wai Pounamu. Mai anō he wāhi mahi tuna a Wairewa nō Ngāi Tahu. Ka raparapa e ngā tāne ngā tuna, ka raranga e ngā wāhine ngā kete kawe.
