Ainsley Gardner (Te Whānau-ā-Apanui, Ngāti Pikiao, Ngāti Awa) is a writer, director and producer. Mentored by influential Māori film-maker Merata Mita, she has worked on Tama tū (2005), Eagle vs shark (2007), Mokopuna(2009), Boy (2010), The pā boys (2014), Waru(2017) and The breaker upperers (2018).
