Kōrero: Ball, Murray Hone

Murray and Pam

Murray Ball is sitting on a desk at which Pam sits with a typewriter in front of her. They are smiling at each other.

Pam Ball was key to the success of ‘Footrot Flats’, managing the business side of the operation, along with the household, while Murray focused on the cartoons. Murray observed that he depended entirely on his wife’s expertise, energy and diligence to do what he did. ‘I don’t know how she managed. Without her it just would not have happened.' (New Zealand Herald, 7 April 1994, p. 9)
