Christine Cole Catley and Frank Sargeson admire the tomato plants in Sargeson’s garden in Takapuna, Auckland, around 1950. Sargeson appointed Cole Catley the sole beneficiary of his estate, and she established the Frank Sargeson Trust to maintain his home as a museum and meeting place and to offer an annual residential fellowship to writers.
