The Prince of Wales and Duchess of Cornwall officially opened the Government House Visitor Centre on 14 November 2012. Their Royal Highnesses were visiting New Zealand as part of the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee. They are pictured here with Governor-General Sir Jerry Mataparae and Visitor Centre co-project manager Kay Davies. While in Wellington the royal couple attended a Diamond Jubilee welcome ceremony and a 64th birthday party for the Prince, and met with Prime Minister John Key and Leader of the Opposition David Shearer.
