The Crafts Council of New Zealand was a local branch of the World Crafts Council and was established in the late 1960s. It was a promotional organisation for crafts in New Zealand and regularly held exhibitions and craft festivals. It was replaced by the Arts Marketing Board in 1992, which in turn was absorbed by Creative New Zealand. These crafts were displayed in the Council's office in Wellington, probably in the 1980s.
