The Wellington Film Festival

The Wellington Film Festival

These are the programme and a selection of tickets from the 2008 Wellington Film Festival. The regional festivals combined to become the New Zealand International Film Festival the following year. The Wellington festival began in 1972 with one new film a day shown at the Paramount cinema. The 2014 schedule included 140 feature films plus a number of short films, shown in venues all over Wellington. The festival is a highlight of Wellington's cultural calendar and a good reason to brave the winter chill.
