Rotherham House interior, Stanley Bay, Auckland (3 o 3)

Rotherham House interior, Stanley Bay, Auckland

In 1951 Bruce Rotherham, a member of Group Architects, built his own house at Stanley Bay. This is the interior of the home, showing the living area and mezzanine. The extensive use of native timber wall linings and the exposed beams and struts underline the shed-like quality of the structure.
