Kōrero: Plays and playwrights

Southland-born Michael Heath (left) has worked in New Zealand and the UK, and his plays have been widely performed in both countries, sometimes simultaneously. Salvation Road first appeared at Wellington's Circa Theatre in 1982. In this photo Heath, actor Anne Budd and director Colin McColl are seen outside Circa at the time of the play's first production.
