In 1999 Toa Fraser's play No. 2 was premiered, and he won the Bruce Mason Award, New Zealand's top playwriting award. In 2005 Fraser directed a film version of the play, which was released the following year and won an audience award at the 2006 Sundance Film Festival in the US. This photo shows Fraser in November 2005, in front of the poster for his forthcoming film.
