2NZEF Base Band in Jerusalem, early 1940s

The band from the Second New Zealand Expeditionary Force (2NZEF) base plays in Jerusalem, Palestine, probably in 1941. In the Second World War each brigade had its own military band and a number of units also had pipe bands. Some smaller units also established their own brass bands. This band was set up at the 2NZEF base at Maadi, near Cairo, Egypt.
