Cricket in the Domain, 1901

Boys play an informal game of cricket in Auckland's Domain in 1901. Informal sport was often as much, or more, a part of children's lives as formal (organised) sporting events. Boys and girls would often initiate an after-school game of basketball, football or cricket in a local street or park. In summer months this could extend into the evening.
