North Shore Events Centre

The four-time Australasian National Basketball League champion team, the New Zealand Breakers, are seen playing at their home venue, the North Shore Events Centre. The $6 million indoor arena was opened in 1992. Like other new indoor arenas throughout New Zealand, the centre is used for a number of sports, including netball, badminton and table tennis, as well as basketball. It is also a venue for concerts. The capacity is about 4,400. For games likely to attract bigger crowds, such as playoff matches, the team plays at Spark Arena in central Auckland.
