Kōrero: Sports venues

A packed house watches the Super 12 rugby final between the Otago Highlanders and the Canterbury Crusaders on 30 May 1999. By then Carisbrook was almost surrounded by stands with seats, although a standing bank still remained and can be seen on the right side of this aerial photograph. Sadly for the home crowd, the Crusaders beat the local team 24–19.
