Javelin coach Debbie Strange, 2010

Women coaches of sportsmen and male teams are rare. Debbie Strange coached New Zealand representative and Commonwealth Games silver medallist javelin thrower Stuart Farquhar from the mid-1990s. She began coaching in the late 1980s, having been a discus and javelin thrower with the Hamilton Athletic Club.
