IronMaori is an annual endurance event in Hawke's Bay that was first held in 2009. The aim is to encourage more Māori to participate in endurance sports events, but it is not restricted to people of Māori descent. In most sports men and women compete separately, but in IronMaori they race on equal terms. The event comprises a 2-kilometre swim, 90-kilometre bike ride and 21.1-kilometre run.
