Go-kart racing, Nelson, 1962

It is nose to tail during an early go-kart race meeting at Nelson's Tāhunanui beach in 1962. New Zealand's first go-kart club appeared three years earlier and the New Zealand Go Kart Federation was formed in 1963. In 2002 it was renamed KartSport New Zealand. Many of the world's finest racing drivers began their careers with this highly skilful form of motor sport.
