Restaurants aimed at families and casual diners opened in New Zealand in the 1970s. New Zealand Breweries opened the first Cobb & Co restaurant at the South Pacific Hotel in Auckland in 1973 and by 1980 there were 27 throughout the country, mainly located in motor inns or hotels. In 2021 there were eight Cobb & Co restaurants in New Zealand.

Does anyone remember the Cobb & Co restaurants in Pakuranga & Meadowbank in the 80's, did they exist or is it my imagination as no one i talk to who were around at thet time seem to remember them?
