Vegetarian supermarket, Timaru

In 2011 four families opened the Vegetarian Grocery Shop in Timaru. Even though major supermarket chains stocked a range of vegetarian foods by then, specialty items were still hard to find, especially in smaller centres such as Timaru. Shop owners Steven Ong, Sophia Seah and Danny Goh are shown here on the day their shop opened.
