Kōrero: Chatham Islands

Waitangi is the centre of, and only township on, the Chatham Islands. It has government offices, businesses, stores and the island’s main wharf. Most of the town is on the level land at the top of the escarpment that rises behind the shoreline buildings in the foreground in this picture.
