Low-growing vegetation, Cheeseman Island

Tiny Cheeseman Island is a pristine environment which has never been modified by introduced mammals. There is a widespread ground cover of native ice plant. As there is no fresh water on the island, the vegetation relies on sporadic rainfall. It also has to withstand constant salt spray.
