Marina Erakovic

Since the days of Chris Lewis, Belinda Cordwell and Kelly Evernden in the 1980s and 1990s, New Zealand's only player of real international standing has been Marina Erakovic. She won the women's junior doubles title at the 2004 US and 2005 Australian opens, and was the junior women's doubles runner-up at Wimbledon in those years. Here she is pictured, right, with doubles partner Jill Craybas of the United States in 2008, when the pair won the AIG Japan Open tournament.
