Welcoming the attorney general

Welcoming the attorney general

Attorney General Chris Finlayson (centre) is welcomed onto Puatahi marae, Kaipara Harbour, with a traditional challenge. He was attending a hui at the marae as part of the government's review of the Foreshore and Seabed Act in 2010. The attorney general is always a minister of the Crown and has important responsibilities in relation to the legal system, as well as being titular head of the legal profession.
