State Services Commission

State Services Commission

The former offices of the State Services Commission in Wellington's Molesworth Street, near Parliament Buildings. Outside the main entrance stands a larger-than-life statue of Keith Holyoake, who was prime minister in 1962, when the State Services Commission was created to replace the Public Service Commission. The Public Service Commission (as it was renamed in 2020) is now located in the Reserve Bank of New Zealand building on The Terrace.
