This stupa (shrine) sits in the grounds of the Mahamudra retreat centre, near Colville in the Coromandel. Mahamudra is a Tibetan Buddhist centre, set up in 1981 by the Tibetan lamas Thubten Yeshe and Kyabje Thubten Zopa Rinpoche.
