When his son, Tyler, was diagnosed with autism at age 4, photographer James Price organised a fundraising calendar to raise awareness of the disability. While his was not the first calendar to use body images as a fundraising venture, it departed from others in focusing on people’s ‘sexy backs’ rather than their fronts. Friends and acquaintances volunteered to model their backs, with this image of 'Vallie' appearing on the cover of the 2010–11 calendar. Profits went to Autism New Zealand.
