Blind runner Rob Matthews (right) is guided by Nicholas Buck along Auckland's Tamaki Drive during a training run before the Auckland triathlon in 2009. Matthews, who is English, was a Paralympic champion, having won 13 gold medals for Great Britain. In 2005 he moved to New Zealand to be with his wife Sarah, an Aucklander. He continued his sport and in 2009 won a silver medal for New Zealand in the ITU World Triathlon Series on the Gold Coast.
