Waikato River

The Waikato River is the region's and one of New Zealand’s largest, flowing from the Volcanic Plateau through the Waikato Basin and to reach the Tasman Sea at Port Waikato. This view looking south (upstream) shows the Waikato’s confluence with the Waipā River at Ngāruawāhia.
