Ana White, the PILLARS Auckland regional manager, sits in one of the family rooms in a new home set up for mothers released from prison, where they can live with their children while finding permanent accommodation. At the opening of the home, in April 2008, Māori Party MP Pita Sharples highlighted how offending affects not just prisoners, but also their families and the wider community.
