Ross and Glendining, 1879

Ross and Glendining, 1879

Staff stand outside the Roslyn Woollen Mill owned by the large firm Ross and Glendining. While most early New Zealand large companies were based on importing, Ross and Glendining built their company on manufacturing, utilising the growing supply of wool. The company produced high-quality yarns, rugs, shawls, flannels and blankets. They also scoured wool and shipped it to England.
