Karori fruiterer Peter Chong and his wife Mary (left) and assistant Connie Chun stand outside Peter's Karori fruit shop in June 1994. He was closing the shop after 36 years working there, and was relieved to have set the alarm clock for the last time for 3.30 a.m. that morning. Chong had to get up that early to go to the market to buy the day's produce.
