Trout ranging in weight from 1.8 to 7.3 kilograms hang outside Stewart's fishmonger store in Princes St, Dunedin, in 1908. These were netted in Lake Wānaka. For a period in the early 1900s trout could be legally netted and sold, but this did not last.
