In addition to lobbying government, the Business Roundtable operated as a ‘think tank’. It researched and published on issues it was concerned with, ran a lecture series, and arranged visits from overseas experts and commentators. It was delivered by Stephen Jennings, a New Zealander who owned and ran Moscow-based global investment bank Renaissance Capital.
