Valuing small business

In the early 2000s chambers of commerce have built on their strengths and moved with the times. The chambers’ focus on small and medium-sized businesses remains strong, while the involvement of women has grown considerably. Here, Clutha chamber president Maxine Agnew gives Balclutha businessman Nelson Wong a long-service award in 2007. Mr Wong had been running Clutha Fish Supply since 1965.
