This cool store in China is owned by BioVittoria which is based in the Waikato Innovation Park in Hamilton. BioVittoria also has offices in the USA. It markets PureLo, a Luo Han fruit concentrate, from a fruit grown exclusively in China. Luo Han concentrate, 300 times sweeter than sugar, is used to sweeten drinks, foods and confectionery. New Zealand’s gross domestic product (GDP) figures would not include the Chinese cool store earnings because it operates outside of New Zealand. However the Waikato firm does receive profits from the operation. National income statistics will include such earnings if they return to New Zealand residents.
