Jason Cobb, a New Zealander working in Orissa, eastern India, uses mānuka honey to help heal people. Mānuka has natural antibiotic properties. In 2007 Jason and his wife, Andrea, were running a health clinic and children's home in Orissa, and New Zealand company Comvita supplied them with medical-grade mānuka honey. Jason used it to treat a variety of skin ailments.
