Monkey cyclists

Robert Murie and Ernest Godward, both members of the Invercargill Cycling Club, pose for a photograph dressed in monkey costumes, around 1910. Murie started making his own Phoenix brand bikes in 1893, and in time opened seven cycle stores throughout Otago and Southland.
